Mill Point Capital Team

Michael Duran is the Founder and Managing Partner of Mill Point Capital and serves on the Investment Committee. Prior to founding Mill Point, Mr. Duran was a Managing Director at Ripplewood Holdings. Mr. Duran joined Ripplewood in 1999 and during his thirteen-year tenure executed domestic and international investments in a variety of industries, including business services, industrials, consumer products, direct marketing, telecommunications equipment and consumer electronics. In addition, Mr. Duran, held numerous board positions for Ripplewood portfolio companies. Prior to joining Ripplewood, Mr. Duran worked in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group at Broadview International, a technology-focused boutique investment bank, in both New York and London offices. Mr. Duran currently serves on the boards of all Mill Point portfolio companies, and previously served on the boards of Diversified Distribution Systems, Atlantix Global Systems, DLT Solutions, Huntington Solutions, Kemp Technologies, KKSP Precision Machining and Spire Power Solutions prior to Mill Point’s exits. Mr. Duran earned a B.S. from Georgetown University, where he studied Finance, International Business and Psychology. Mr. Duran also completed a program in Comparative Business Policy and International Finance at Oxford University.
