Mr. Dickinson is a Co-founder and Executive Chairman at HCI Equity Partners, assisting in the oversight of the firm strategy, management company and LP relations while continuing as a board member of several legacy HCI investments. Prior to joining HCI Equity, Mr. Dickinson was the Co-Head of Global M&A at Merrill Lynch. He also had roles as Head of European M&A and Head of Global Manufacturing and Services M&A at Merrill and started his career in the M&A Group at The First Boston Corporation (now Credit Suisse). In addition to his role at HCI, Mr. Dickinson also serves on the Board of Directors and as Chairman of the Audit Committee of Caterpillar, Inc. He is also the CEO and board member of Right to Dream, a leading global academic and soccer program that owns academies and training facilities in Africa and Europe, a SuperLigan team in Denmark and a new MLS team in San Diego. He previously served as the Chairman of the Board of Visitors for the Pratt School of Engineering at Duke University, as the President of the Board of Trustees for the Cove School (a K-12 special education school) and on the Executive Committee of the US Olympic and Paralympic Foundation. Mr. Dickinson has both a Juris Doctorate and Master of Business Administration from The University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science, magna cum laude, from Duke University.
