In his 20 years in practice, Floris Pierik has advised on M&A transactions with an aggregate value in excess of €90 billion. He advises public and private national and international groups, private equity clients, and other financial sponsors on domestic and cross-border transactions. Complex M&A and private equity transactions and investments for corporates and financial sponsors are central to his work. Some of his major deals include targets with operations on a European or global scale, often with a significant U.S. connection. Floris advises on transactions in a variety of industries including TMT, life sciences, manufacturing, chemicals, and retail and consumer goods. Floris's key transactions at Jones Day include advising Nasdaq-listed BioMarin Pharmaceutical on the €680 million public takeover offer for Prosensa Holding NV; Gimv, Draper Esprit, and Robert Bosch Ventures on the sale of Greenpeak Technologies to Nasdaq-listed Qorvo; Randstad on the public takeover offer for Monster; NYSE-listed The Timken Company as successful bidder in the $280 million controlled auction sale of Groeneveld Group; Gimv on multiple mandates including the investments in UDB, Joolz, Snack Connection, and Coolworld Rentals; Aurelius Equity Opportunities on the €220 million controlled auction sale of Getronics Group and the €330 million controlled auction sale of Solidus Group to funds managed by Centrebridge Partners; Arsenal Capital Partners on the controlled auction sale of IGM Resins group to Astorg; and SUEZ on the sale of its recycling and recovery operations in The Netherlands, Germany, Luxembourg, and Poland to Pre-Zero. Prior to joining Jones Day, Floris was a counsel at a leading international law firm, where he worked on high-profile public and private M&A and private equity transactions.
