Mark L. Evans, a Partner in the firm’s Business Litigation and Appeals Department, represents individuals and business – both large and small – in State and Federal court. Mr. Evans has assisted clients with a broad range of litigation, real estate, and probate matters, including contract disputes, fraud and breach of fiduciary duty claims, employee non-compete agreements and employment discrimination claims, antitrust matters and consumer fraud claims. Mr. Evans also counsels owners of closely held and family-owned businesses through shareholder disputes and lockouts, and represents commercial and residential property owners with lease disputes and evictions, construction defect claims, and mechanics lien claims. Additionally, Mr. Evans has experience representing insurance producers and companies in a wide range of coverage claims, broker liability disputes, and administrative proceedings. Mr. Evans also assists clients with real estate transactions and probate matters, including administering complex trusts and estates and initiating guardianship proceedings. Mr. Evans also represents creditors in the legal process of collecting judgments and protecting creditors’ rights in bankruptcy. Before beginning his legal career, Mr. Evans served as Deputy Finance Director for a statewide political campaign, helping to elect Edward G. Rendell as Governor of Pennsylvania.
