Bio

David Casares, Partner, joined Vicente Capital Partners as a Principal in 2008 and became a Partner in 2012. He focuses on deal sourcing, execution and monitoring of the firm's portfolio companies, most recently on investments in the business services, technology services and healthcare services sectors. He is a current board member of ITI Corporation and board observer for SMT, Inc. Prior to joining VCP, David was a Director at a $2 billion division of Tyco Fire and Security where he oversaw acquisitions, and subsequently was general manager of a business unit and implemented the company's successful operational improvement initiative across 120 field offices. David began his career at Merrill Lynch Investment Bank and later went on to work with Bain & Co. as a management consultant where he advised senior executives at US and Mexican Fortune 100 companies and private equity firms on growth and operational improvement strategies. David is on the board of the Los Angeles Venture Association, the Los Angeles Fulfillment Fund (supports at-risk public school students with overcoming obstacles to pursue higher education) and is active with the Robert A. Toigo Foundation (supports minorities in finance) and The Giving Spirit (supports the homeless in Los Angeles). David received his MBA from Harvard University where he was a Robert A. Toigo Foundation Fellow and a bachelor's degree from Georgetown University where he was a two-sport, NCAA athlete.
