Karl Peterson is a Senior Partner of TPG and Managing Partner of TPG Pace Group, the firm’s newly formed effort to sponsor SPACs and other permanent capital solutions for companies. He also serves as President and CEO of TPG Pace Holdings. In December 2016, Karl was named Lead Director of Sabre’s Board. Karl has held multiple senior roles since joining TPG in 2004, including leading investments for the firm in technology, media, financial services, and travel sectors, and overseeing TPG's European operations. Prior to 2004, Karl was a co-founder of Hotwire.com and served as the company’s president and CEO. He led the business from its launch in 2000 through its sale to InterActiveCorp in 2003. Before Hotwire, Karl was a Principal at TPG in San Francisco, and from 1992 to 1995, he was a financial analyst at Goldman, Sachs & Co. Karl is currently a Director of Caesars Acquisition Company, Playa Hotels and Resorts, Saxo Bank, TES Global, and TPG Pace Holdings.
