Bio

John Flynn is Partner and member of TPG's Internet, Digital Media & Communications group as well as TPG's Technology & Software group. He is based in San Francisco. John is a Director of Eze Software and RCN Telecom, a Board Observer at GreenSky Credit and Vice Media, and was involved in the firm's investment in Spotify. Separate from his responsibilities at TPG, John is a Director of the San Francisco Zoo and Friends of the Urban Forest. Prior to joining TPG in 2015, John was a Principal at Silver Lake Partners. He was based in London and was involved in the firm's investments in Skype, NXP, and Global Blue, among others. Prior to that, he was an investment banker at Evercore Partners in New York. John graduated with honors in finance and accounting from the Wharton School as well as in systems engineering from the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania.
