Mitchell Goldfarb is a Principal of Legal and Compliance at Siguler Guff. Mr. Goldfarb provides legal counsel to Siguler Guff in connection with fund offerings, governance and regulatory issues, primary and secondary fund investments, direct investments, and co-investments. Mr. Goldfarb has worked as a private funds lawyer since 2011. In this capacity, he has advised sponsors of private investment funds on their fund offerings and operations, as well as on regulatory compliance and governance matters, and management-level compensation plans. Mr. Goldfarb has also represented institutional investors and fund sponsors in negotiating direct and secondary fund investments. Prior to joining Siguler Guff in 2017, Mr. Goldfarb was an Associate in the Private Funds Group at Covington & Burling LLP. Previously, he was an Associate in the Investment Management Group at Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP. Mr. Goldfarb holds a B.A. in American Studies from Wesleyan University and a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
