Bio

Michael joined Salt Creek Capital as an Executive Partner in 2021. He brings over 25 years of C-level leadership and executive management in combination with deep, hands-on technical expertise in the semiconductor and LED lighting industries. Michael also has significant start-up advisory experience and entrepreneurship in a range of business ventures. Prior to Salt Creek, Michael served as President of Tempo Industries, a leading manufacturer of commercial LED Lighting products, where he returned the company to positive free cash flow. Prior to Tempo, Michael held C-level leadership positions at several leading privately held and venture backed LED lighting firms, including CTO at Lunera Lighting, VP at Fulham, CTO at Permlight Products. Michael holds a BS in Materials Science and Engineering from Virginia Tech and a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from North Carolina State University. Michael is co-inventor on >25 US and international patents and author of >50 articles in various technical publications.
