Zoltan Berty is a Managing Director for ORIX Mezzanine & Private Equity, based in Newport Beach, California. Mr. Berty is primarily responsible for business development and investment activities in the Western United States. His emphasis is providing equity to independent sponsors on buyout transactions, while also working with funded equity sponsors, family offices, and directly with entrepreneurs and management teams. Mr. Berty brings more than 25 years of transactional experience across multiple industries and diversified markets. Prior to joining ORIX USA, Mr. Berty served as Managing Director for Gladstone Capital Corporation, where he originated new investment opportunities and coordinated the due diligence and execution of transactions. He also has prior experience with Caltius Mezzanine, D.E. Shaw & Co.’s Direct Capital Group and CapitalSource Finance. Mr. Berty received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Southern California, where he graduated magna cum laude.
