Brett participates in the origination, evaluation and monitoring of private credit investments in North America, and leads Northleaf's Chicago office. Prior to joining Northleaf, Brett was at Fifth Street Asset Management as a Senior Vice President and Team Leader, where he was responsible for screening, structuring, underwriting, documenting and managing middle market sponsor-backed transactions. Previously, Brett was a Vice President at GE Antares Capital within the Restructuring and Workout Group. Brett began his career in GE Capital’s Investment Analyst Program in 2005. Brett received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
