Mr. Foyston is the Chairman of Navis and an Investment Committee member. He co-founded Navis in 1998 with Mr. Bloy and Mr. Muse. In addition to his close involvement with the Firm’s Private Equity activities, Mr. Foyston was responsible for the establishment of several Public Equity Funds at Navis, with strategies that substantially overlap in geography and philosophy with the rest of the Firm. Mr. Foyston remains closely involved in the leadership of these funds. Prior to co-founding Navis, Mr. Foyston was a senior executive with The Boston Consulting Group, where he worked in BCG's Boston, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur offices and was responsible for building and leading BCG's Asia practice. Mr. Foyston has been a resident in Asia since 1987, having been raised primarily in Canada. He graduated from Queen's University (Canada) with a Bachelor of Commerce degree and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and the designation of Canadian Chartered Accountant (CA).
