Bio

Mr. Tong heads the firm's Legal and Compliance department and is responsible for its legal, regulatory and risk management functions. He works closely with the investment teams on structuring and negotiating Navis' strategic acquisitions and disposals, and is responsible for Navis' funds formation. Before joining Navis, Mr. Tong was in private practice for fourteen years. He was a Counsel at Hogan Lovells specialising in private equity and M&A across Southeast Asia with considerable experience in the consumer, life sciences, technology, industrial and energy sectors. Prior to that, he worked for Linklaters in London and Hong Kong. Mr. Tong is a Singapore citizen and has an MA (Law) from Cambridge University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Oxford Institute of Legal Practice. He is also a member of the Law Society of England and Wales.
