Andreas Skibiel joined GarMark in 2015 with significant experience in leveraged finance and private debt investing. Previously, Mr. Skibiel was a Partner at York Street Capital Partners, a middle-market focused mezzanine fund manager that he helped launch in 2002.He was responsible for all facets of mezzanine debt and other junior capital investments made in private equity-sponsored companies operating in a variety of industries. Mr. Skibiel also oversaw finance and administrative functions within the firm. From 1990 to 2002, Mr. Skibiel held a variety of roles at CIT and its acquired predecessors, Newcourt Capital and AT&T Capital. He was a senior member of the Corporate Finance Group, which provided leveraged debt financings for sponsored and non-sponsored companies. He also executed a variety of debt and structured equity transactions in project finance and leveraged leasing. Earlier in his career, Mr. Skibiel was a consultant with Brown, Vence & Associates, providing energy and waste management advice to clients in finance and government and was an engineer with Sohio Petroleum Company. Mr. Skibiel graduated from Washington State University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and later received an M.B.A in Finance from the University of California, Berkeley.
