Bio

Mr. Alvord is the Founder and Managing Partner of Balance Point Capital. Prior to founding Balance Point, he held various positions in the investment banking industry, primarily with Morgan Stanley where he worked closely with firm’s private equity clients and the leverage finance team. Mr. Alvord was awarded the A. Donald Kelso Award during his M.B.A. studies at Cornell University. He is a current Trustee of Connecticut College where he is currently Chair of the Committee on Trustee and is a former Trustee and Vice Chair of the Northfield Mount Hermon School where he served on the Investment Committee and as Chair of the Financial Policy Committee. Mr. Alvord lives in New Canaan, CT with his wife and twin boys. He enjoys spending time with his friends and family on the coast in the summers and on the slopes in the winter.
