Steven has been a member of the Aquiline team since the company’s launch in 2005. His work as a member of the investment management & markets team draws on his background as director of corporate development at Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc., where he was responsible for the development of MMC’s alternative investments business. Previously, he served as vice chairman of Putnam Investments, chairman of PanAgora Asset Management, and director of Mercer Management Consulting and Nippon Life Asset Management Company. In addition, he oversaw Putnam’s Thomas H. Lee Co. partnership. Before joining Putnam, Steven was a partner of Lehman Brothers, Inc., where he held numerous positions, including president of Lehman’s financial services division. His investments include Artivest and HedgeServ. Previously, Steven worked with AssetMark (sold to Huatai Securities in 2016), Conning (sold to Cathay Financial in 2014), CRT Capital Group, and Nexar Capital Group. In keeping with his commitment to volunteer service and nonprofit board leadership, he also serves as a director of f.a.c.e.s. (Fight Against Childhood Epilepsy and Seizures).
