As practice group leader for the Business and Real Estate group, Lyle Wallace leads Sherman & Howard’s talented transactional attorneys across its eight offices. In his practice, for 20 years, he has counseled clients through complex transactions as a mergers and acquisitions attorney and served as outside counsel to private companies throughout the United States across numerous industries. As mergers and acquisitions counsel, Lyle guides corporations and private equity groups through acquisitions, dispositions, and mergers, both domestic and international. He has represented clients in more than two hundred transactions during his career and has developed a reputation not only as a talented legal practitioner, but also a practical problem-solver. A client has referred to Lyle as “the most pragmatic and solutions-oriented attorney we have ever worked with.” In addition to his significant transactional experience, he serves as a trusted advisor to his corporate clients on some of the most significant business decisions they face, including capital formation and finance transactions, foreign and domestic contract negotiations, and corporate governance issues. Lyle has also counseled clients through workouts, restructurings, and distressed mergers and acquisitions transactions. Lyle joined Sherman & Howard in 2017 from Baker Hostetler, where he was head of the Business Group for the Denver office. He has received numerous accolades in his career including: being recognized by Best Lawyers of America for Corporate law, being ranked in Chambers USA for Corporate/M&A law, being selected as a Colorado Super Lawyer for Business Law, being selected by Law Week Colorado as the Barrister’s Best Corporate Law Attorney in 2014, and holding a Martindale-Hubbell AV-Preeminent ranking.
