Ilya Koffman Bio

Ilya is the Managing Partner, the Founder, and an Investment Committee member at Turnspire Capital Partners. He is responsible for overseeing all elements of the firm’s investment activities and setting firm-wide strategy. Ilya is a turnaround and special situations investor with almost 25 years of private equity restructuring and transaction advisory experience. Prior to founding Turnspire in 2013, Ilya spent over 7 years at KPS Capital Partners identifying, evaluating, and executing control investments in industrial and consumer products businesses. Previously, Ilya was with Alvarez & Marsal, a leading turnaround advisory firm, where he worked on a number of debtor-side and creditor-side restructuring assignments. Before Alvarez & Marsal, he was an investment banker at Wit SoundView.
