Tides Capital (“Tides”) was founded in 2014 by Scott Mackay. Mr. Mackay has over 25 years of portfolio management, trading, private equity and investment banking experience. Most recently, Mr. Mackay was a portfolio manager implementing a global relative value long/short strategy for Millennium Management, a $55BB multi strategy hedge fund. Prior to Millennium, he was Managing Director & Head of Asia for over 6 years for Bryn Mawr Capital Management, a $1BB market neutral hedge fund, applying a relative value long/short strategy. In addition, Mr. Mackay founded Hatteras Investments, an active value hedge fund focused on identifying and investing in select public equities in which Hatteras could actively communicate with leadership to enhance value. Previously, Mr. Mackay managed a family office in Virginia after his experience as an analyst at Goldman Sachs & Co. |
