Brion co-founded the firm in 1994 and has been involved in private equity investing since 1979 when he served as a summer Associate at TA Associates. Prior to forming Spectrum, Brion was an Associate, General Partner, and Managing General Partner at Burr, Egan, Deleage & Company. Brion attended the United States Air Force Academy, graduated with an AB from Colgate University in 1976 and an MBA from Harvard University in 1980. Brion is a Trustee Emeritus of Colgate University.
