Sir Brian Souter co-founded Souter Investments in 2006 with Andy Macfie. He is also the co-founder and former CEO and Chairman of Stagecoach plc. Sir Brian has a background as an operator and entrepreneur having founded Stagecoach in 1980, growing the business organically and inorganically to become one of the largest transport providers in the UK. This experience shapes the way in way Souter Investment approaches investing with Sir Brian active in our investment decision making processes. Sir Brian is also involved in the Souter Charitable Trust which he set up his wife Lady Elizabeth in 1992. Since 2006 The Souter Charitable Trust has awarded more than 15,000 grants totalling over £100 million. In 2018, Sir Brian was the President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland. |
