Matthew Wain Bio

Matthew Wain serves as the Chief Risk Officer at Soros Fund Management LLC, responsible for risk management across market, funding, liquidity, credit, and operational risk. He also oversees the Portfolio Asset Allocation and Strategy team in conjunction with the Chief Investment Officer. Previously, he served at the firm as a Senior Risk Manager with a focus on Equity and Macro risk across both internal and external investments. Prior to joining Soros Fund Management in 2011, Matthew was responsible for Market Risk across the European Interest Rate business at Deutsche Bank. Matthew holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from St. John’s College at Oxford University.
