Soros Fund Management Team

Dawn Fitzpatrick serves as the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of Soros Fund Management LLC, heading the firm with oversight of both investment and non-investment functions. Prior to joining Soros Fund Management in 2017, Dawn spent 25 years at UBS and its predecessors. In her last role she served as Head of Investments for UBS Asset Management and was a member of the UBS Asset Management Executive Committee. She had global responsibility for overseeing active and passive strategies across all asset classes, comprising over $500 billion of client capital. Previously, Dawn was Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of the UBS O’Connor hedge fund business. During her tenure at UBS, she served on their cross-division Investment Committee, as head of various direct investment teams specializing in equities, convertible corporate bond arbitrage, and merger arbitrage, as well as derivatives across asset classes. Dawn started her career in finance as a clerk on the American Stock Exchange and then as a trader on the Chicago Board Options Exchange. Dawn serves on the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas Financial Sector Advisory Council, where she is Chair, the Advisory Council of The Bretton Woods Committee and the Bloomberg New Economy Advisory Board. She is a non-executive Director on the boards of Barclays plc and Under Armour. Dawn previously completed a 6-year term on the Federal Reserve Bank of New York’s Investor Advisory Committee on Financial Markets. Dawn received her Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business. She ran track and cross country for the University and formerly served on their Athletics Board of Advisors.
