Mr. Wyard has over 30 years of experience as a private equity and distressed debt investor as well as a financial advisor specializing in financial restructurings, M&A and investment banking. Mr. Wyard has been involved in the investment of $11 billion of committed capital. In addition, he has served on several corporate boards of directors and creditor committees. Prior to co-founding Solace, Mr. Wyard was with the Carlyle Group where he was involved with the raising and investing of $2 billion as a Global Partner, Managing Director, and Co-head of Carlyle Strategic Partners. Prior to that, Mr. Wyard was Managing Director at Oaktree Capital Management as one of the senior members of the firm's flagship Opportunities Funds, which focus on special situations, distressed debt, and private equity investments. Mr. Wyard was actively involved in a variety of other investment team management activities including the extension of Oaktree's activities in Europe. Mr. Wyard began his career at Miller & Schroeder and Voyageur Asset Management and later worked in the Financial Restructuring Group at Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin. Later, Mr. Wyard was a Vice President in the Global Special Situations Group at Merrill Lynch. Mr. Wyard received a BA in Economics at Boston College. At Solace, Mr. Wyard is currently Chairman of the Board of Sun Mountain Sports and was Chairman of the Board of Select Interior Concepts, Inc. He was also on the board of Forbes Energy Services. Prior to Solace, Mr. Wyard was on the board of Pinnacle Foods and NTL Communications (later branded Virgin Media). He is also a member of the Board of Regents of Boston College, the Board of Trustees of Seven Arrows Elementary School, the Board of Trustees of the St. John's Health Center Foundation, and the Young Presidents' Organization Gold.
