Alex Soltani founded Skyview Capital in 2005 and is Chairman of the firm’s executive and investment committees. He is a serial entrepreneur and started his first business when still a student at UCLA. Mr. Soltani brings extensive operational experience to his work in private equity. His strong business acumen and prescient investment instincts have led to successful acquisitions across a number of different industries. In 2014, the LA Business Journal declared Mr. Soltani one of the most influential private equity investors in Los Angeles County. Mr. Soltani is actively involved with every aspect of the transaction life cycle and plays a significant role in all of Skyview Capital’s investments. Prior to the formal establishment of Skyview Capital in 2005, Mr. Soltani worked at Platinum Equity, a multi-billion dollar Los Angeles-headquartered private equity firm specializing in corporate divestitures, public-to-private transactions and private sales. Skyview Capital was the first of a number of private equity firms created by former Platinum executives. Prior to joining Platinum, Mr. Soltani established and operated All Digital Communications, a nationwide B2B wireless telecommunications firm where he forged long-term alliances with the largest national wireless carriers. Mr. Soltani serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors for all current Skyview Capital portfolio companies. In addition, he has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sourceone Wireless Group, and Collins Enterprise Solutions. Mr. Soltani also has served as a member of the Board of Directors of Fastech Integrated Solutions, PAS Technologies, TRM Copy Centers, and Amvest Financial Group. Mr. Soltani holds a B.A. degree from the University of California, Los Angeles and is a sought-after guest speaker on the topics of entrepreneurship, mergers & acquisitions and corporate divestitures at the UCLA Anderson School of Management and at financial conferences.
