Jocelyn Lefebvre has served as Founding Partner at Sagard since launching the European business in 2001. Jocelyn is responsible for the European divison’s strategic development and internal organization, and plays a pivotal role in the investment process as Chairman of the Investment Committee. Jocelyn is also the European Vice-Chairman of Power Corporation of Canada and Pargesa in Switzerland, and a member of the board of Groupe Bruxelles Lambert in Belgium. Jocelyn first joined Power Corporation in 1992 when he became its representative in Europe, playing a key role in the financial and industrial transformation of Pargesa, the European investment arm of Power. Over the years, Jocelyn has sat on the board of directors of group companies such as Imerys, Parfinance, RTL Group, Suez-Tractebel, Kartesia, AFE and Orior. He is based in London, United Kingdom. Jocelyn has over 40 years of industrial and financial experience with numerous prominent organizations. He began his career in 1980 with Arthur Andersen in Montreal before moving to Europe in 1982. He joined the Canadian manufacturing group M.I.L. in 1986, where he held a number of senior executive positions, while also assuming the Chief Executive Officer role at Vickers, one of the group’s larger operating units, until 1991. Jocelyn graduated from HEC Montréal. He is a member of the Quebec Order of Chartered Professional Accountants.
