Sam Wong Bio

Sam Wong is a private equity investor and former investment banker who feels privileged to partner and support founders, entrepreneurs, and operators. Earlier in her career, Sam was an investment banker at RBC Capital Markets, where she advised and supported the capital raising efforts of middle market telecom companies and helped them achieve their strategic goals. Following her tenure at RBC, Sam honed her investment acumen at Instar Asset Management, providing capital to middle market infrastructure companies. Sam considers herself a helper and a challenger. She cares deeply about the people she works with and their success. As a member of the investment team at Rallyday, her formal responsibilities include sourcing, evaluating, and executing new investment opportunities as well as supporting portfolio companies. However, what excites her the most about her work is turning visions into reality, satiating her curiosity, and delving into data. One of her favorite parts of her work is actively listening to the concerns of founders and operators, researching to identify the optimal solution, and helping them solve their problems. Outside of Rallyday, you’ll find Sam relaxing in her Arvada home that she shares with her partner or exploring a new hobby. While she has lived in Colorado for the past 5+ years, Sam is a native New Yorker and will always consider NYC her home. Sometimes, she doesn’t know whether to root for the Denver Nuggets or the Brooklyn Nets. Sam holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Baruch College.
