Sumit has an entrepreneurial mindset, having been the founder and CEO of a stealth mode, luxury shaving startup as well as strategic advisor to many high-growth early stage companies. Sumit founded Pivoton Capital with a passion to help lower middle-market companies to unlock untapped value. Sumit has extensive M&A and financing advisory deal experience in the middle market, most recently being an investment banker with Houlihan Lokey covering the Business Services sector. Prior to Houlihan Lokey, Sumit spent two and a half years at Bank of America Merrill Lynch advising Financial Institutions and Technology Media & Telecom clients. He performed sell-side and buy-side M&A advisory, debt and equity financings, strategic alternative assessments, and valuations. Prior to attending Yale School of Management, he spent four years with the IMF doing macro financial research focusing on euro zone, US and U.K. He worked with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) as a Systems Engineer, upon finishing his undergraduate studies in electrical engineering. Sumit holds an MBA from Yale School of Management, MS in Financial Engineering from Claremont Colleges Consortium, and BE in Electrical Engineering from Punjab Engineering College. |
