Lawrence Shagrin Bio

Larry has more than twenty years of private equity experience, including the sourcing, execution and management of growth-oriented investments in education, training, business services, healthcare, and other industries. In addition to his role at Millpond, Larry serves as a Partner at Brockway Moran & Partners, a middle-market private equity firm with over $1 billion under management. Before joining Brockway Moran in 2002, Larry was a Managing Director at William Blair Capital Partners and a Principal at William Blair & Co. He currently serves as a Director of TouchMath, Pharmacy Development Services, BrandRep, Science First, Hands-On Labs, and Turning Technologies. He previously served as a Director of Woodstream Corporation, Crisis Prevention Institute, Air Medical Group Holdings, U.S. Education Corporation, CLP Resources and other businesses. Larry began his career in the Healthcare Investment Banking Group at Smith Barney. He earned a BS in Business Administration from The Ohio State University and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He lives in Boca Raton, Florida with his wife and three children, and serves on the Investment Committee at Saint Andrew’s School.
