Elisabet Gómez Bio

Ms. Gómez has extensive experience in the legal and corporate sector and leads legal and compliance matters at Meridia. Prior to joining Meridia in 2017, she worked for over ten years as Group Corporate and Legal Director at Mixta Africa, a leading real estate developer in Africa with subsidiaries in six countries. At Mixta Africa, she was the Secretary of the Board and led corporate governance and compliance matters. Ms. Gómez was also responsible for legal aspects of the real estate business across the Group and participated actively in dealing with institutional investors and equity fund raising processes. Prior to that, she worked for three years as Head of Legal for Corporate Finance, Project Finance and M&A at Caixa d’Estalvis de Catalunya (now BBVA), and six years as Senior Lawyer in the M&A Department at Spanish law firm Uría Menéndez. Ms. Gómez graduated with honours in Law from Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Spain) and holds a master’s in Business Law from the same university.
