Mr. Pollet has over fifteen years of diverse experience. He is a Co-founder and Partner with Lightspring Capital GP, LLC. His responsibilities include deal sourcing, execution, portfolio monitoring, marketing, and investor relations. Mr. Pollet has spent the last three years as a Managing Director with 9 North Capital Partners (in partnership with Waveland Investments). Mr. Pollet founded 9 North Capital Partners, an equity investment firm focused on lower middle market manufacturing companies in the Midwest. He has been responsible for deal sourcing, execution, investment monitoring, and investor relations. Previously, Mr. Pollet served as the Director of the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) where he led Illinois’ state-wide economic development efforts and served as a senior policy adviser to the Governor. Prior to that appointment, he served as Deputy Director for the Illinois Office of Trade and Investment where he led the state’s export and foreign direct investment activities. Before joining DCEO, Mr. Pollet worked for McKinsey & Co. where he served clients in the firm’s strategy and operations practices, working with companies in the logistics, energy, and auto sectors. Prior to McKinsey, Mr. Pollet worked for the United Nations focusing on infrastructure investment and trade facilitation initiatives. Mr. Pollet received his JD from Harvard Law School and his BA from Stanford University.
