Mr. Pastino 45 years of investment banking, investing, operations and finance experience, with firms like Deloitte, Alex. Brown & Co. Incorporated, Fortis Private Capital and Kohlberg & Company, LLC. At Alex. Brown & Sons, Inc., he executed public and private equity transactions and mergers and acquisitions. While at Fortis Private Capital and Kohlberg & Company, he headed their SBIC subsidiaries and negotiated numerous private equity investments, leveraged buy-outs, add-on acquisitions by portfolio companies and the sale of portfolio companies. He has invested in over 35 private equity transactions. Mr. Pastino has served on the Board of Directors and Audit Committees of a number of public and private companies where he has worked extensively with third party valuation firms on valuing private companies.. He currently serves as the lead independent director and Chairman of the Audit Committee of KCAP Financial, Inc., a publicly held BDC. Mr. Pastino is a former Senior Partner at Deloitte, he served as Senior Managing Partner of the Firm’s High Technology Industry Group, Inbound Foreign Investment Practice, and the Emerging Business Services Group. While at Deloitte he directed a team in the study on effectiveness of the SBIC Program in US small businesses and the US economy. Mr. Pastino is a former member of NASBIC and NERASBIC.
