Aleem has been actively involved in the finance industry since 2002 and founded KV Capital in 2006. Since then, he has structured over $800M in privately financed debt, established KV Capital’s first private equity fund with four companies in its portfolio and revenues of $60M per annum, and services over 1,000 investors managing approximately $200M in capital on their behalf. Under Aleem’s leadership, KV Capital has been awarded Canada’s Fastest-Growing Companies (formerly the Growth 500) award for six consecutive years since 2015. Prior to Aleem co-founding KV Capital, he was the controller of The Brick’s financial services group when the company went public in 2004. Today, Aleem currently sits on the KV Mortgage Fund Board of Directors and the KV Private Equity Fund Board of Directors. He is a previous Chair of the Edmonton Aga Khan Grants and Review Board, as well as a previous Board Member of the Ismaili Council for Edmonton. In 2014, Aleem won the Business in Edmonton Leaders of Tomorrow Award.
