Bob is a founding partner of the firm who has over 35 years of operating and investment experience in the food and consumer products sector. He is a member of the firm’s investment committee. Bob leads the implementation and oversight of Kainos’ Change Capital Initiatives and is dedicated to Kainos’ partner companies’ long-term growth. The unique challenges and growth opportunities presented by each of our partner companies are what motivates Bob and the Kainos team. He values the great culture of the firm and is excited to come to work every day. Bob enjoys working alongside entrepreneurs and talented management teams to identify and execute Change Capital initiatives that make them more strategically relevant in the marketplace. Previously, Bob was a partner with Brynwood Partners from 2003 through 2010, where he was responsible for deal sourcing, execution, approving fund investments, operational oversight, and exit of investments. He previously was an operating partner with Hicks, Muse, Tate, and Furst (“HM”) from 1997 to 2003, where he was responsible for operational oversight of the food portfolio companies. Before partnering with HM, Bob spent 17 years working for Nestle in a wide range of general management roles. Bob is a graduate of Central Connecticut State College, receiving a B.A. in Business Administration, and has attended executive management programs at Cornell University and IMD in Geneva, Switzerland. Bob’s family supports several organizations that focus on providing assisted housing and job training for developmentally challenged adults. Bob gains additional insights into the consumer and the evolving food trends through his family’s gourmet butcher shop and restaurants in his hometown of Ridgefield, CT.
