Tim Frend Bio

Tim Frend is a Managing Director at HCI Equity Partners, having joined the firm in 2006. Mr. Frend is actively engaged in leading business development and deal origination activities at HCI. Mr. Frend also works with certain HCI portfolio companies, playing a key role in diligence, underwriting, transaction execution, and development and management of key organic and acquisition growth strategies. Prior to joining HCI, Mr. Frend was a financial analyst in the Global Industries Group at Banc of America Securities, focusing on M&A advisory and capital raising primarily in the building products, packaging, and metals & mining sectors. Previously, Mr. Frend played Minor League Baseball with the Kansas City Royals. Mr. Frend received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Davidson College in North Carolina.
