Peter Andersen Bio

Peter joined HCAP Partners in 2024 as the Vice President of Finance. He is responsible for managing the finance function of HCAP Partners as well as its various funds. He is also involved in the day-to-day administration of the funds, including valuation, audit, tax, and investor matters. Peter has a strong understanding of the financial services and life science industries through his 10-year tenure in public accounting as an Assurance Senior Manager at BDO USA and completion of his SAICA articles at BDO South Africa. While working in public accounting, Peter gained extensive experience and knowledge in technical accounting, fund accounting under ASC 946 — Investment Companies, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, US GAAP, and IFRS. Peter holds a Bachelor of Accounting and Post-Graduate Honors Degree in Accounting from the University of Stellenbosch. He is also a Chartered Accountant (South Africa) and a licensed Certified Public Accountant (California).
