H.E. Shaikh Ahmed Bin Khalifa Al Khalifa is a leading business figure in Bahrain who brings to the Group extensive experience in banking, public and private advisory, and key ministerial roles. He is currently the Chairman of GFH Capital and Vice Chairman of GFH Financial Group. Previously Shaikh Ahmed was the Advisor for Community Affairs at the Crown Prince Court (Rank of Minister) and for His Royal Highness the Crown Prince (Rank of Minister) (2009). He was also the Secretary General of Supreme Council for Defence (Rank of Minister) (2006) and served as the Kingdom of Bahrain’s ambassador to the United Arab Emirates during the period 2000 to 2006. Prior to these roles he was the Head of the Arab Banking Corporation (ABC) office in Abu Dhabi. He holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science and accounting from the University of Bahrain, a certificate from the College of Science of King Fahad University of Petroleum and Minerals, a Global Credit Analysis certificate from BPP Training and Consultancy – London, and a Gulf Executive Management and Strategic Leadership certificate from Colombia University New York. |
