Owen Clarke Bio

Owen joined Equistone in 1995 as a Regional Director in the North, he then moved to London in 1999 to lead the Financial Services team. Owen led the negotiations with Barclays on Equistone’s own buyout in 2011 and served as Chief Investment Officer and Chairman of the European Investment Committee until 2017. Currently he is Chairman of Equistone’s Supervisory Board. Owen was previously with 3i. He has led seven £100m plus private equity transactions in the Financial Services sector including the buyouts of Global Blue, A-Plan, FirstAssist, Admiral Group, Cabot Financial and Preferred Mortgages and the buyin of Clydesdale Financial Services.
