Barton Lee Bio

Mr. Lee is a Managing Director and EIG’s Head of Asia, leading investment, capital development and strategic initiatives across Asia. Prior to joining EIG in 2016, he was a senior banker at Standard Chartered Bank, where he managed corporate and project finance business with international clients and also served as head of equity-linked solutions business. Previously, Mr. Lee worked in the investment banking and capital markets divisions of Morgan Stanley and UBS AG in Hong Kong, leading transactions for clients from various parts of Asia. Prior to the career in finance, he served in the Republic of Korea Air Force as Lieutenant. Mr. Lee, a CFA charterholder, received a B.A. in Economics with honors from Williams College and an MBA from Yale University. Mr. Lee is fluent in Korean and conversational in Japanese.
