Aubrey is a Canadian businessman, philanthropist as well as a Tony-Award® winning producer (MEMPHIS) who is the principal of the Dancap Family Investment Office https://dancap.ca that focuses on alternative assets, such as private equity, private debt, infrastructure, hedge funds, as well as traditional assets, including public equities, fixed income and real estate. He’s the Chairman, Co-CEO & Co-Founder of EmpowerPharm Inc a clinical stage pharmaceutical company. Born in Toronto, Dan graduated from Western University with a degree in Administrative and Commercial studies in 1985. Aubrey Dan is a very generous philanthropist, donating millions of dollars, primarily to health, community & education charities, and other worthy causes. Together with his wife Marla, they created the Aubrey & Marla Dan Foundation. Aubrey and Marla have made many generous donations towards creating engaged, healthy and successful communities through programs that support healthcare, education, creative arts, and communities. He and Marla raised two children, imparting on them the importance of pursuing your passions and giving back. Aubrey received an honorary Doctorate of Laws Degree (honoris causa) from Assumption University in 2008 and from Western University in 2019. He is a Governor at Tel Aviv University and he’s received the Order of Canada in 2019.
