Joseph M. Kampf is a co-founder of CoVant and serves as its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Prior to forming CoVant, Mr. Kampf was President and Chief Executive Officer of Anteon International Corporation, a diversified government technology services firm based in Fairfax, Virginia. Under his leadership, Anteon grew from $100 million in revenue in 1996 to more than $1.5 billion in revenue in 2005. A public company since 2002, Anteon was acquired in 2006, by General Dynamics, for $2.2 billion in one of the largest transactions ever completed in the government technology services industry. From 1986 to 1994, he served first as Corporate Senior Vice President of Penn Central Federal Systems Company and then as Executive Vice President of Vitro Corporation, the 6500 person operating subsidiary of Penn Central, a major provider of engineering services to the U.S. Department of Defense. During the 1970’s, Mr. Kampf served in several senior financial positions within Daniel Ludwig’s vast global organization, including the senior financial role for Mr. Ludwig’s development of a forest products company in the Amazon Jungle. Mr. Kampf is a life member of the Navy League and has been active in the National Defense Industrial Association. He was a director of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association and served as Chairman of the Professional Services Council. He was formally a member of the Board of Directors of Deltek Systems, Inc., LGS Innovations LLC and A-T Solutions, Inc. and also served on the Board of Directors of the Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts from 2004 to 2010. Currently, Mr. Kampf is Chairman of the Board of LinQuest Corporation.
