CCMP Growth Team

Joe Scharfenberger is Co-Managing Partner of CCMP Growth and a member of CCMP Growth's Investment Committee. He is also Co-Managing Partner and an Investment Committee member of CCMP Capital. Joe has spent the majority of his private equity career focused on high growth consumer and retail companies, and he currently heads CCMP's investment activities in the consumer and retail sectors. Prior to joining CCMP Capital in 2008, Joe worked at Bear Stearns Merchant Banking. Prior to joining Bear Stearns Merchant Banking, Joe worked in the private equity division at Toronto Dominion Securities and the investment banking divisions at Salomon Smith Barney and Chase Securities. Joe currently serves on the board of directors of CCMP Capital portfolio companies Founder Sport Group, Shoes For Crews and RealTruck, and CCMP Growth’s Mammoth Holdings. Joe was also involved with CCMP Capital’s investments in Francesca’s Collections, Jamieson Wellness, Jetro Restaurant Depot, Ollie’s Bargain Outlet, and Hillman Solutions. Joe holds a B.A. from The University of Vermont. Joe and his wife Pam have three children and live in Manhasset, NY.
