Suramya Gupta is Founder and the Chairman of CapitalSG. He has served as a Board Member and Investment Committee Member for numerous companies, funds and startups across Asia Pacific. Suramya has over two decades of experience in Investing, Investment Banking and Strategy Consulting across Asia. He has partnered with some of the largest Asian business groups for marquee transactions across sectors. Suramya’s previous role was as Fund Manager (Asia) and Head of India Business for SBI Holdings Japan (earlier known as SoftBank Investments) based in their Singapore office. SBI Holdings is one of the leading VC/PE Asset Managers in Japan with an AUM exceeding USD 10 Billion. Prior to SBI, Suramya has worked as an investment banker at Merrill Lynch, as a Strategy Consultant for Stern Stewart & Co. and as a Banker at ANZ Bank and ICICI Ltd. Suramya also co-authored The PayTech Book published by Wiley in Jan2020. Suramya holds a MBA (Finance & Strategy) from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) and a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering) from Delhi University. |
