Mr. Spigner is a co-founder and Managing Partner at Canum Capital Partners where he is actively involved in all investment and portfolio activities of the firm. In addition he oversees firm operations. He brings 10 years of interim management and operations advisory experience to the team. Prior to co-founding Canum, Mr. Spigner was a Vice President at AlixPartners, LLP, a financial and operations advisory firm, focusing on balance sheet and operational restructurings. Previously, Mr. Spigner was a Manager with Alvarez & Marsal in Chicago focused on strategy and operational improvement in healthy companies. Prior to Alvarez & Marsal, Mr. Spigner was a supply chain and sourcing consultant with BearingPoint. Throughout his career, he has held interim management positions in multiple public companies as well as structured, negotiated and executed M&A transactions, debt financings and other deleveraging transactions. Mr. Spigner has experience across a broad range of industries including retail, consumer products, food manufacturing, distribution, high tech, software, apparel, and financial services. His clients have ranged from start-up efforts to large, public corporations. Some of the companies Mr. Spigner has been involved with include Barneys New York, RadioShack, Borders Bookstores, SYSCO Foods, The Tribune Company, and Hart Shaffner Marx. Mr. Spigner earned B.S. degrees in Finance, Computer Information Systems, and Business Process Management from Indiana University. Mr. Spigner sits on the Board of Directors for the United States Bowling Congress and was Founder and Chairman of the Associates Board for Ladder Up in Chicago, a non-profit focused on providing pro-bono financial services and education to working families and low-income students. In his free time, Mr. Spigner enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons exploring the Bay Area as well as bowling, triathlons, and hiking.
