Michael Salamon Bio

Michael joined Birch Hill in 2000 when the group was still part of TD Capital. Michael serves as Chair of Terrapure and FlexNetworks and serves on the Board of Directors of Campus Energy Partners and Tidewater Midstream and Infrastructure Ltd. He has also served as Chair of Anchor Lamina and Atria Networks LP as well as a Director of Avotus Corp., Biox Corporation, DHX Media, Marsulex and Maskatel. Michael has also played a role in Birch Hill’s investments in Alert Care and Holiday Canada Retirement. Prior to joining Birch Hill, Michael worked at Harrowston Inc., a Toronto-based private equity investment firm. He also worked at Nortel Networks as a telecommunications software engineer and in the finance department. Michael received his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where he received the Center for Research in Security Prices Award for Finance, and his Bachelor of Applied Science (Honours) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto. Michael is a Professional Engineer, a CFA charterholder and holds the ICD.D designation.
