Ian started AVALT in 2015 with Mark and Marko. Prior to AVALT, Ian spent 18 years at Bain Capital, where he was a Managing Director in the firm’s global private equity funds. Ian helped found Bain’s Asia private equity fund and from 2007-2010 was a Managing Director in its Hong Kong office, where he helped build Bain’s China practice. During his tenure at Bain Capital, Ian led numerous deals across several industry sectors and geographies, including HDS, NXP, BRP, Loews Cineplex, Gome, Sunac, and Aimco. Prior to joining Bain Capital, Ian worked at Bain & Company, where he consulted in the technology and consumer products industries. Ian received an MBA from Harvard Business School where he was a Baker Scholar. Ian also received a BA in East Asian Studies from Yale, cum laude. |
