Howie Tan Bio

Before joining Aetos Capital, Howie was a Vice President at Moelis & Company, where he focused on distressed credit and special situations, and executed over $30 billion in restructuring transactions. Notable transactions include the chapter 11 bankruptcies of iHeartMedia, Toys “R” Us and Bumble Bee Seafoods. Prior to Moelis, Howie was on the foreign exchange desk at Barclays where he focused primarily on executing short-dated forward and swap trades. In that role, Howie was also responsible for performing macro analyses, providing market commentary to clients, and generating trade ideas such as onshore/offshore relative value strategies and swaps/money-markets arbitrage opportunities. Howie holds a BBA from Singapore Management University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
