Comptoir des Cotonniers is a leading French designer and distributor of woman's ready-to-wear clothing. The company launched an innovative marketing concept centered on "mothers & daughters". By playing on the similarities of tastes of both mothers & daughters, this communication strategy proved to be very successful and allowed the company to develop a strong brand image targeting women aged between 20 and 40. All of its products are designed in-house. At the time of our investment, the company had 130 points of sale in France only. After two years, at the time of exit, the company had developed a network of 290 points of sale and had expanded internationally in Europe and in Asia.
