Jason Bennett Bio

Co-Chair of Winston’s Asset-Based Lending Practice, Jason Bennett focuses his practice on debt financing and various other corporate finance transactions, with an emphasis on asset-based and cash flow lending. Jason focuses his practice on debt financing and other corporate finance transactions, with an emphasis on asset-based and cash flow lending. He represents banks and other financial institutions on financings involving acquisitions, recapitalizations, multicurrency facilities, foreign collateral, and split lien, first/second lien, mezzanine, and bank/bond structures. He has significant experience in a wide array of industries, including: transportation and logistics; manufacturing and distribution; waste disposal; food and beverage; oil and gas; maritime; and alcohol, tobacco, and firearms. While he often represents administrative agents in connection with syndicated credit facilities, Jason also has experience advising non-bank financial institutions, equity sponsors, and corporate borrowers on debt capital markets transactions. In addition, he has experience representing lenders and borrowers in connection with debtor-in-possession, workouts, and restructurings of distressed credit facilities. Jason worked as an engineer for Exxon Mobil from 1997–2001, prior to attending law school.
