Charles Damato concentrates his corporate practice in the areas of corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, international law and cross-border transactions. Mr. Damato also acts as general counsel to numerous small and mid-sized companies, advising on a wide variety of matters, including joint ventures, licensing and distribution, employment and other matters in the ordinary course of business. In his securities practice, Mr. Damato focuses on broker dealers, hedge funds, investment advisors, and securities arbitration. In the correlated commodities and futures arena, he has represented lenders, traders, trading advisors and pool operators. Mr. Damato is an arbitrator for ICE Futures US, the world's leading commodities futures exchange. Mr. Damato is a Vice President and a Director of the Alliance of Business Lawyers, an international alliance of business lawyers. He is an International Law Fellow of the International Center for International Legal Studies, for which he is a frequent lecturer in the United States and abroad. Mr. Damato also serves on several committees including the Securities Regulation Committee and the Derivatives and Structured Products Law Committee of the New York State Bar Association's Business Law Section.
